Hey! Fun pics! Jason thinks your fungus is the one commonly known as "chicken of the woods" and scientifically known as Laetiporus sulphuerus. We've been finding TONS of cool fungi here too. No lions though... dunno if we have those here east of the Mississippi.

"Chicken of the woods?!" Crap! If I'd known that I would have eaten it.
Instead we captured the lion and took him home to cook on the barbecue. Unfortunately he escaped at the last minute and we went to bed hungry.
Now there's an angry lion hiding somewhere in the house...
